19th November 2014: Sustainable Business Dialogue – “CSR as Bridge to Sustainable Business”

Following the success of 1st Sustainable Business Dialogue (SBD) in 2013, the 2nd SBD is planned to be held on November 19th, 2014. The dialogue is focusing on best practices of how companies transformed their business functions, goals, and strategies toward sustainable business. In Indonesia, most of these practices are done currently under the tagline of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – which often triggers a one-sided perception.  It is expected that the SBD can strengthen the broad understanding of CSR and cover the multiple facets of this corporate obligation and strategy. With this, the dialogue contributes to utilizing CSR as an important building block for a sustainable corporate culture in Indonesia. At least 200 Indonesian and international business representatives, government officials (amongst others Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Industry and BAPPENAS), and academicians/representatives of the civil society are expected to attend the event to generate the public outreach and impact desired.   The parallel breakout sessions will cover the following topics: CSR Internationally and Best Practices Social Entrepreneurship Doing Business in Our Changing Climate Connecting Community with Businesses – Social Conflict Mediation Perspective This event will be held on:   Date                      : Wednesday, 19th November 2014   Time                     : 08.00 – 17.00 WIB   Location                : available upon confirmation   For registration purpose please contact Ms. Mega Rahayu (This email address is being protected from spambots.
